Registration Information
Online registration is now closed.
Registration at Calvin College is open Thursday, July 7th from 9:30am to 8:30pm; Friday, July 8th from 8:30am-12:30pm and 3-5:30pm. For registration outside of these times, please contact the registrar, Jill Karolyi, karolyij@umich.edu.
Cancellation deadline was June 24, 2011. Regretfully, because of contractual arrangements with Calvin College, there will be absolutely NO refunds issued after that date, NO exceptions.

We have assembled important information for you to review prior to registering for the Central States Rotary Youth Exchange summer conference. Registration deadline is June 24th, subject to a $25.00 late fee. Please download the Parent Information and read it carefully. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask your district's Rotary Youth Exchange chair or contact people.
Important Information
ALL persons attending ANY PART of the Grand Rapids Conference MUST PRE-REGISTER and PRE-PAY. Persons not pre-registered or prepaid WILL NOT be allowed to attend the conference.STUDENTS MUST WEAR THEIR NAME BADGE FOR THE ENTIRE CONFERENCE, and ALL ATTENDEES MUST WEAR THEIR NAME BADGE IN ORDER TO BE ADMITTED TO THE DINING HALL AT MEAL TIME. PLEASE DO NOT LOSE YOUR NAME BADGE; THERE WILL BE A $10.00 COST TO REISSUE ONE.
NOTE TO ALL REGISTRANTS: Grand Rapids is on EASTERN DAYLIGHT TIME
The parents of all RYE students are encouraged to attend. Brothers and sisters of RYE students will be allowed to stay on campus and participate if they are at least 15 years of age. Brothers and sisters under 15 years of age must be housed with parents ON or OFF campus. Due to the expected attendance, we CANNOT ALLOW other students not involved in Central States RYE program to attend.
All housing on campus is in dormitory rooms and all exchange students will be housed ON campus. No exchange student will be housed with their parents. ROOMS ARE DOUBLE OCCUPANCY (YOU WILL HAVE A ROOMMATE) AND SHARE THE BATHROOM FACILITIES WITH THE ADJOINING ROOM. Adults staying OFF campus MUST make their own reservations. Discounted room rates are available at the Hilton Grand Rapids Airport, just a short drive from the Calvin College campus. A link to the Hilton's special conference rate page is featured at the top of this page.
The Saturday evening General Session will feature a variety show performed by RYE Students. Students may also audition to serve as Emcees for the show. There will be a variety show table at the registration area with a signup sheet for tryouts that start at 8:30am on Friday morning. Any student who wishes to audition for the variety show should remember to bring to the audition the Costume that they intend to wear, and any hand props that they will be using in their performance. They should bring any Musical Instrument (s) they intend to play (a piano will be provided). If they have a certain song they want to sing, dance, or perform to, they must bring a CD recording of the music with them, or any Sheet Music that they need to be played for them (an accompanist will be provided). Music or recordings on iPods, laptop computers, etc. will not be accepted. There can be NO MORE than Eight (8) people in any one act. Performers have a MAXIMUM of four (4) minutes to perform so make sure to time the performance before auditioning. Emcees will have one (1) minute to audition; a sample script will be provided. Students who go longer than the allotted number of minutes will be asked to stop. NO SWORDS, KNIFES, FLAMMABLE MATERIALS (such as Candles, Lighters, etc.) are allowed to be used in any act as this is a policy of Calvin College.

The Board of Directors workshop is scheduled for 10am-Noon Thursday in the Commons Lecture Hall. The Board of Directors meeting is 1:30-5pm, also in Commons Lecture Hall. Thursday evening (7:30-9:30) features a meeting for staff members with Responsible Officer Bob Hosch.
